1. Strategic direction/ business plan alignment
Gardening Club is one way Belmay endeavours to address cross-curriculum priorities like sustainability and Caring for Country in a fun and engaging manner. The aim is to eventually produce enough fruit and vegetable to provide crunch and sip for selected students/classrooms at our school.
2. Program rationale and outline
Every Monday lunch time year 3-4 students are encouraged to join Gardening Club where students weed, water, fertilise and, best of all, pick and eat the food we produce. Next year, we aim to include composting as regular role for our Green Team.
